Hi Rosie - HAPPY HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!! I thought I was so clever as I knew your birthday was in October so the children and I knew we needed to check the website for the date...and now that I have, of course we are late with our wishes! Please know that we have been thinking of you very specially all this month - what an anniversary!!! I 'hauled' myself around a 5k race yesterday and still marvel at how I can find that so hard and yet you ran around the world..then my mum called and read me a quote she found..."True feelings are bourne in the soul, counterfeit feelings are constructed in the mind". You run, I believe from your soul....I have been running with my mind...time for me to get back in touch with my 'essence'...thanks for continuing to be such an inspiration...much love from us all and happy writing! |

Dear Rosie, Oh.h.h. - sorry I missed your birthday - so this is my belated sincere Happy Birthday greeting for you......it must have been a special memory day as you thought of the one 5 years ago and the different ones since. It is remarkable that you are in England again well before the 5th one. I agree with you that James and Eve are worthy of thanks too. I would like to see the site kept going - and there will be lots of new posts when your book is out - I am sure of that. I am in the tropical zone but there's a rainy season to contend with at present. But at least it's not cold like your Siberia and Alaska days. Warm greetings from a "family member" thinking of you as you write :-) |

Gosh! I came across your website quite by accident, what a pleasant surprise! I recall reading your book back in 1970 or there abouts. Phew, you are a giant amongst humanity. To think that you are still active at your age. It was your book that inspired me to go out into the wider world, instead of staying in Europe. I have been to so many places, climbed so many mountains, been to the arctic, swam in almost all the oceans, and yes still traveling around the world every year, if only by air! Thank you Rosie for your unintentional inspiration, and for finding my wife for me, in a way!. Now living in New Zealand. |

You are my HERO!!!! I have always wanted to do what you are doing! I love you. You are doing this for all of us I feel. You are my eyes and ears I can feel the wind on your face in good & bad days. I can see the sights through your eyes, oh how beautiful so magical and majestic it all is. Oh and the sounds of the birds overhead as you walk by. Some birds sit on a wire fence of mankind way out here seemingly in the wilderness and I can hear that awesome song, like angels they sing so profound. I so would like to meet you one day. I live in the Seattle, Washington, USA area so if you are ever in town I hope I can meet you. |

Dear Rosie, Having never heard of you before, I saw you talk for a few short minutes on BBC breakfast. What you said both inspired me and filled me with admiration and respect. After quite few years off I have bought some new running gear and will be doing my second 10k in a few weeks. The world needs more people just like YOU (many more!) You are a inspiration and a fantastic role model - I love you Rosie, you are GREAT !!! |
