Hello there Rosie! Greetings from Sabah, Malaysia (Malaysian Borneo)! I read about you in the June edition of the Malaysia Airlines Going Places magazine. I am so impressed and inspired by what you are doing! Well done, and God bless you! |

Bloody hell! I've been telling my children about you for ages - I forgot about the internet and how it brings everything closer. I read your books avidly when I was younger .. (hey, I'm not that young myself, I'm 47) .. your journeys thrilled me; and although I haven't the guts to embark on anything like you, your inspiration is still inside .. somewhere .. I'm so so glad I've found you here on this site .. and that I can once again prentend that I am with you in your adventures! Perhaps you can take me with you one time? I could ramble on forever .. mainly due to the gin and tonic(s) I have partaken of in the last three hours. (God bless British summers .. when the sun shines you can start drinking early!) Your writing took me to places that I can only dream of. thank you. |

Hi Rosie, I happened to know about your great journey in an article in Malaysia Airlines in-flight magazine. I'm just so impressed by your strong and beautiful sprits. And I could not help checking this website and sent a little message to you! Good luck with the rest of your journey, and I'm sure another wonderful journey will continue in your life... |

Hi Rosie, I saw and listened to you talking about your journey at the public library in Tórshavn today. It is amazing what you are doing. You are so inspiring and you have so much to talk about, which makes you so interesting. I hope that Tenby knows how to welcome its outstanding woman! I'm looking forward to reading your book. I wish you all the best and hope that the photos of you and your Faroesian mascot Gunnar will make you remember your visit at the library. ;-) |

Hi Rosie, I have been following your journey since I saw you pass through Elyria, Ohio last year. Hard to believe how much you have traveled since then. I can't wait to read your book! You are such a brave and strong person. I often thought of you being alone and wondered how you did it. Takle care and have a safe journey home. |

Hi Rosie - what excitement to be so close to home!!! My heart is full to the brim with love and excitement for you - what a journey you have had. Today I was in Brookfield, back at the firehall, home of the 'Rosie party', to see the 'Tour of Hope' - Terry Fox's van has been refurbished and is travelling across Canada east to west, keeping Terry's dream alive. Ruth Matheson and I were talking about so many of the similarities between you and Terry - both people who didn't necessarily get recognised for great stength or speed, athletic prowess in your youth, but look at what you have both achieved!!!! Such strong, determined, spirited people - how lucky we are to have your example to aspire to. We will be in England soon and as Grace said, "Won't that be good, maybe if Rosie is lucky she will see us again!!!!" Made me laugh out loud! We love you and think of you always, keep strong and don't let that excitement get too out of hand...at least not until you hit Scottish soil! With love, the not so snowy snow bears. |
