Hi. Rosie; I was reading the Halifax Herald on my Apple iBook in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and saw the article on your race for the Truro Hospital. My wife and I live in Waverley, Nova Scotia and are lucky enough to be able to spend a few months in Mexico in the winter. I am a prostate cancer survivor unlike your late husband and I am very grateful to my excellent doctors in Halifax. I wish you well on the rest of your journey. Go with God! Cheers, Eric & Mary Elizabeth Edgar |

Rosie, you’re truly an absolutely amazing lady. My wife and I stopped and talked to you very briefly as you made your way up Davidson’s hill near Truro, Nova Scotia. Hope you write a book about your adventures. With the journals you’ve kept, I'm sure you’ve material enough for several books. Do it if you have the energy remaining when you get back home. We'll certainly buy a copy. |

Dear Rosie: Our thoughts go away back to a long-ago, bitterly cold day just east of Vegreville, Alberta (home of the world's largest Easter egg!) when Charlie had just "blown his top" and you warmed up in our car after checking to make sure none of your precious belongings had flown into the next county! We were filled with admiration then, and have followed your travels ever since. We're reminded of the saying: "Courage is not the absence of fear, but the going on in spite of it" and also "Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death!" We wish you the fewest of mishaps and the finest of travels until you reach your home. Sincerely, Irvin and Norma Cowan Norma sent this to you through my email, she sounds like a very special lady. Good bye Rosie from Canada! So sad that I didn't get to Brookfield to say farewell and hear more of your wonderful story. We'll alway remember you. I'll send the pictures from Truro to James, you looked great surrounded by children. Pam |

Dear Rosie I was delighted to sign your book in Reykyavik in 1999 when you'd just run acorss Iceland and were about to do the marathon -and I was in for the half. But this gives me even greater pleasure. I was inspired then, but there is now no word adequate enough to describe your current feat. Awesome just won't do it. For myself, having just recovered from a heart quadruple by pass operation and about to do the Rotterdam Marathon in April at 63, you have lifted my spirits this morning more than you will ever know. Thank you. Alan Rundle |
